Improving the payroll process is often an important driver when installing a Time and Attendance system. This is especially so when there are hourly paid employees or where there is overtime and other forms of payments and deductions.
Captureit takes away the pain and stress by reducing the time needed to, firstly, establish the times and/or amounts to be paid and, secondly, by then providing the option to transfer this information directly into your payroll, including to Sage, which we find is the most popular payroll choice.
Captureit helps reduce payroll processing costs. This is achieved by dramatically reducing the time taken to establish the hours that should be paid, and then by providing an electronic transfer of those hours into your chosen payroll.
Many companies have a mix of salaried and hourly paid employees, with the latter usually being paid either weekly, four-weekly or monthly. When it comes to payroll processing, salaried employees tend to be straightforward, whereas, for others, the payroll administrator needs to manually enter basic hours, overtime hours, sickness hours and holiday hours. This task can be time-consuming and risks human error.
The Captureit PayLink removes the need for such manual entry, making the process far quicker, whilst removing the risk of keying errors.
PayLink transfers employee attendance data into the UK’s most popular payroll packages, notably Sage, Iris, Earnie and Pegasus Opera. Options also exist for other payrolls, whereby the electronic transfer is via CSV files. In all cases, the process is fast and error free.
Prior to running the PayLink, you will have confirmed the data to be transferred is as required. This is achieved through a range of Pay Reports that are provided with Captureit. All reports are available in either hours decimal or hours/minutes formats. This is important because payroll professionals always prefer to work in decimal hours, whilst most line managers prefer to work in hours and minutes.
This is another good example of the thought and subtlety that has gone into the design of Captureit.
