Evacuation Lists – Meeting the challenge

Know who is on site – and which site, and perhaps where within the site. If the worst happens and you need to evacuate your plant/site/building the safety of employees and visitors is of prime importance. Capture it™ provides a range of robust solutions for this to match your needs – be that a simple printed list, or many roll call points delivered to the marshals' mobile devices.

How the Fire Roll Call Works

A comprehensive Fire Roll Call (or Fire Register) is built into Capture it™ as standard. It shows all employees who are clocked in and their current on/off site status.

If you have a suitable fire panel this can be monitored, and the fire roll call will then be generated automatically in the event the fire alarm is triggered.

If you do not have a fire panel, then it can be triggered manually.

Paper & Digital Registers

The fire roll call prints quickly and can be directed to any number of printers to be collected by the fire marshals on their way out of the building.

The roll call can optionally be sent to phones to be checked off on the screen.

More complex environments

For businesses with multiple sites or buildings Capture it™ can detect which site/building has triggered the alarm and produce a roll call for that location alone.

This will also automatically capture staff members from other sites/buildings who happen to be visiting the site in question and include them too.

Clocking Off-Site

Employees leaving site on company business during the working day can instantly make your traditional fire list almost worthless.

Some organisations ask employees to simply clock out and then back in again - but this then creates work for HR/Payroll in trying to reconcile attended time.

Capture it™ solves this tricky problem allowing employees to easily record that they are leaving site (but still paid), and when they have returned (or maybe even returned to a different site) still paid, thus leading to accurate attendance details for payment and accurate on-site status for health and safety – an effective proven solution.

A complete solution – Visitors & Contractors

A common headache during an evacuation is accounting for visitors & contractors – a fact our staff have historically been only too aware of as the visitor or contractor in question.

The experience of standing outside a client’s premises during a real evacuation - and no one knowing we were on site, or checking we had evacuated, provided the impetus to develop our Visitor & Contractor self-service Vis it™ Module.

Vis it™ integrates seamlessly to also list visitors and contractors automatically as part of the fire roll call.

Of course, Vis it™ does far more than this – details can be found here.
