Clocking Without The Clocking Machine

Did you know there are a number of clocking methods which do not require a clocking terminal at all?

Sometimes, it’s not practical to have a clocking terminal installed. Or maybe you have remote workers who are unable to clock in at the office. Well, it’s absolutely possible to track employee’s time and attendance without any use of a terminal, and you can even have employees clock in from across the other side of the country with nothing but their mobile phone or laptop. With all the below options, you get the information in real time, so there’s no waiting for the system to update.

PC-Based Clocking

Ideal for office-based environments, the PC Clocking option has employees clocking in at their computer. All an employee has to do is click on a desktop icon to bring up the clocking interface, input their name and password, and done! The PC-Based Clocking System can obviously clock folks in and out, as well as on lunch breaks, but it can do more than that, such as setting your status to “in a meeting” or “on the phone” or “away from desk” etc. All employees using the system can see the status of everyone else, so when an important phone call comes in for Steve, you can see at a glance whether he’s clocked in, and whether he’s available.

Web-Based Clocking

Very similar to the PC-Based Clocking system and great for travelling sales reps or employees working from remote locations. All an employee needs is the internet, and access to a web browser. The employee can make clockings similar to that of the PC-Based Clocking, including setting statuses. So if an employee is travelling, they can set that as a status and everyone back at the office (or using the Web Based Clocking) can see that they are unavailable.

Mobile Clocking

Very similar to the PC-Based Clocking system and great for staff that travel or employees working from remote locations. All an employee needs is the internet, and access to a web browser. The employee can make clockings similar to that of the PC-Based Clocking, including setting statuses. So if an employee is travelling, they can set that as a status and everyone back at the office (or using the Web Based Clocking) can view their availability.
